Sir Zelman has made significant contributions to the academic world and civic life, from his Rhodes Scholarship to his skill as a public speaker. He was professor and dean of the Law Faculty at Melbourne University, vice-chancellor of the University of New England and the University of Queensland and provost of Oriel College, Oxford. One day they start receiving packages on their doorstep that contain video surveilliance footage shot secretly from their street, accompanied by disturbing drawings. Georges and Anne's idyll is shattered and Georges becomes convinced they are the work of Majid, an Algerian man whose parents worked for Georges' wealthy parents in the 1960s, at the height of French repression against Algerian pro-independence groups in Algeria and France. But there is a witness - his eleven-year-old daughter. This film was screened at the 2004 Berlin International Film Festival and won the Peace Film Award and was nominated for the Golden Berlin Bear.
